Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what personal information Bongshai Steel collects through www.bongshaisteel.com, how we use it, and what choices you have. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we are
Bongshai Steel operates this website. Our address is House #18, Road #18, Sector #10, Uttara C/A, Dhaka 1230, Bangladesh. You can reach us at sales@bongshaisteel.com or +8801789-949060 (phone/WhatsApp).
What we collect
- When you submit a quote or contact form, we collect your name, phone number, optional email address, optional model code, and the message you type.
- We do not accept file uploads on public forms.
- If you use the optional AI chat assistant, the messages you type are sent to the AI service provider to generate a response.
- Our hosting server logs your IP address, browser type, and the page you requested.
- The site counts page views: the page address, the time and the browser type, with a visitor code made from the IP address and browser that changes every day. The IP address itself is not stored.
Why we use it
We use the information you provide in forms to answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising or marketing.
Where it is stored and who sees it
- Form submissions are stored in the website's own database on our hosting server.
- Staff are alerted of new enquiries by e-mail and messaging (Telegram/WhatsApp) notifications that include the enquiry details.
- Server logs (IP address, browser, requested page) are kept by the host for security and abuse prevention. Repeated automated copying may result in a temporary IP and browser block.
- Fonts and the 3D library are served from our site or from cdnjs.cloudflare.com.
Cookies and statistics
Public pages set one small cookie, bs_seen, so the page-view counter counts a browser visit once; it holds no personal data and is not used for tracking or advertising. The admin area uses a sign-in session cookie for staff only. We keep our own visit statistics and use no third-party advertising or tracking scripts such as Google Analytics.
The AI chat assistant
The optional AI chat assistant sends your messages to an AI service provider (Groq) to generate answers. The conversation, the pages it was opened on and your browser type are saved in our database so our staff can follow up. Please do not type sensitive personal data into the chat.
How long we keep it and your choices
You may ask to see, correct, or delete your enquiry data by e-mailing sales@bongshaisteel.com. The site is intended for business buyers and is not aimed at children. This page shows a "Last updated" date when changes are made.
